The 2026/27 Hamachi XOS GT’n’Doggie™ Expedition Traditional Speed Jig Rod is the latest evolution of one of Hamachi’s most celebrated offshore designs, rebuilt for 2026/27 using the latest nano-carbon technology to deliver measurable improvements across the board: longer and more accurate casting, increased lifting power, and higher sensitivity — without compromise on the legendary XOS backbone that serious offshore anglers have trusted for years.
Designed for traditional speed jigging but fully capable across multiple offshore disciplines — trolling, bottom fishing, live baiting, and floater baits — the XOS GT’n’Doggie is the rod for the angler who wants one powerful, versatile tool that handles everything the ocean throws at it. The parabolic taper loads deeply through the full blank, putting sustained pressure on the fish, not the angler, making it the right choice when you’re hooked to something serious on deep structure.
At just 248–296g, the XOS is remarkably light for a rod of this power class — light enough to fish all day without fatigue. The removable butt section keeps closed lengths to 100cm (5’6" model) and 119cm (6’0" model), making both genuinely travel-friendly. Two models to choose from: the 5’6" PE 3–8 for medium-duty applications, and the 6’0" PE 5–13 for serious big-fish work on deeper structure. Both ship with a divided rod bag as standard.
