The Hamachi Nano Stalker is a range of JDM travel spinning rods built on ultra-high-tensile nano-carbon blanks infused with Hamachi’s proprietary resins. Every model was originally developed where tackle standards are among the most demanding in the world — and is now available globally through FishingAndBoatingDeals.com as an authorised Hamachi Tackle JP dealer. The range delivers blank sensitivity and multi-piece joint integrity that outperforms anything in its price category.
Four models cover every travelling angler’s use case. The S2 spans four weight classes (1–2kg to 6–10kg) in a 6’6" 2-piece format — one rod design, four fishing personalities. The S3 steps up to 7’0" and 6–10kg in a 3-piece carry-on package for the angler who wants more reach and power. The EGI S4 is a 9-foot 4-piece rod purpose-built in traditional EGI squid and calamari jigging format The S5 pushes reach to the maximum: 10 feet collapsing to just 61 cm, built for beach, rock, and long-cast river fishing where distance is everything.
All four models share the same Seamless Curve multi-piece joint system (no dead spots, no hinge effect between sections), SiC-lined saltwater-rated guides, and Hamachi Lifetime Warranty. Every rod ships in a rigid protective rod tube with a divided fabric bag. Dispatched same day from Perth, Western Australia for orders placed before 1pm AWST. Free standard shipping worldwide, express upgrade available.
The S2 is the most versatile rod in the range — a 6’6" 2-piece format available across four distinct weight classes. The Hamachi composite reel seat accommodates both spinning (threadline) and baitcasting reels without modification, and the 2-piece design delivers closer-to-one-piece blank feel than 3-piece or 4-piece equivalents. Closes to 99 cm. RRP USD $599.

The S3 is the power travel rod of the Nano Stalker range — 7’0" of 6–10kg (13–22lb) performance in a 3-piece format that collapses to 71 cm. The extra 6 inches over the S2 adds casting reach and rod leverage for hard-running fish. Like the S2, the reel seat accepts both spinning and baitcasting footprints. Ideal for dedicated inshore travel with a single rod. RRP USD $639.

The EGI S4 is the dedicated squid and calamari rod in the range — a 9-foot 4-piece rod purpose-engineered for EGI jigging that collapses to just 69 cm. The fast-to-moderate taper loads and unloads cleanly with #2.5–4.0 EGI jigs and transmits the subtle tap-and-resistance of a squid taking the jig on the fall — the strike that most general-purpose rods miss entirely. Doubles as a capable 4–6kg inshore spinning rod. First Hamachi EGI rod available outside Japan. RRP USD $730.

The S5 answers the question serious travelling anglers have asked for years: how do you carry a 10-foot spinning rod in a carry-on bag? Five Seamless Curve sections pack to 61 cm (2’0") — shorter than a laptop bag — and assemble to a full 10’0" (305 cm) spinning rod. Ten feet means more casting distance, more line clearance over surf and rock wash, and more leverage from elevated platforms. Rated 4–6kg with 15–40g lure capacity. RRP USD $820.

If unsure, the S2 offers the broadest species and technique coverage for the entry price. Contact us for a personalised recommendation — we fish all four models.
When in doubt between two adjacent classes, choose the heavier — you can under-load a heavier rod.
Hamachi’s Seamless Curve is an internal spigot-ferrule system where each section’s male spigot is precision-machined to continue the blank’s taper through the join. The blank loads as one continuous curve from butt to tip during casting and fish-fighting — no dead spot, no hinge at each joint. This is the most common failure point of cheaper multi-piece travel rods, and what separates the Nano Stalker from the competition at this pack length.
Maintenance: rinse all spigot sections with fresh water after every saltwater session. Do not Apply any lubes to the spigots. Always align the guides before inserting section.
All Hamachi Nano Stalker rods sold through FishingAndBoatingDeals.com carry a Lifetime Warranty backed by Hamachi Tackle JP, covering manufacturing defects in blank, guides, reel seat, and fittings under normal fishing use.
Not covered: breakage from impact (car door, rod locker, transport damage), overloading beyond rated specifications, or use outside normal fishing applications. Full terms at hamachitackle.jp.
