About This Braid
The Hamachi Extreme™ 12 Strand Bulletproof Braid is built for anglers who demand the best from their mainline. Woven from 100% Japanese polyethylene (True PE) at an ultra-tight 48 TPI in a short-throw round profile, this braid delivers a silky-smooth, round-profile line that tracks cleanly through rod guides under load. An ultra-slick silicone coating takes it a step further — gliding through guides with minimal friction, reducing heat build-up on long drops and adding durability against guide wear. Ideal for jigging, poppering, deep drop, trolling, and general offshore fishing.
The extreme thin-diameter construction of the Hamachi Extreme™ delivers three practical advantages on the water: more line on your reel for deep-water applications, further casting distance when working surface lures, and reduced water drag that keeps your jig running vertically on the drop — critical when you’re targeting pelagics on the sounder. We use what we sell: this braid has accounted for everything from GT popper sessions to big sambo and kingie jig fishing to blue-water trolling for pelagics.
Available in single colour for general use and multi-colour Depth Finder for serious jigging and deep-sea work. The Depth Finder variant colour-changes every 32 feet (10 metres), giving you a precise visual readout of exactly where your jig is in the water column at all times — no guesswork, no counting seconds. Simply watch the colour changes drop and put your bait right inside the school every time.
